One of Tasmania's most picturesque stretches of coastline, with azure waters framed by red rocks and white sand.
Located at the easternmost point of the Australian mainland, the Cape Byron Lighthouse is a very popular location among tourists wishing to catch the first rays of light. It is also the country's most powerful lighthouse.
Driving along before sunrise I noticed this large rock sitting alone on the beach against the crashing waves.
Instead of composing a typical beach photo with palm trees, I decided to wade in and make the rock the subject.
When I found these rock formations lined up along a small cove in Far North Queensland I felt it would be the perfect place to return during twilight. While many chase sunrise and sunset, I am more fascinated by the light on the edge of darkness.
