I’m a photographer based in Queensland, Australia, starting out as an assistant to a wedding photographer over 20 years ago.

Landscape photography is both challenging and incredibly rewarding and I’m always in search of the perfect composition with beautiful light.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my website and I hope you enjoy some of my work.

All of my images are captured entirely with natural or available light.

No artificial lighting or color filters are used — only a polarizing filter to reduce glare and neutral density filters to control the exposure.

Exposure blending is limited to a couple of frames taken seconds apart in high contrast situations where a graduated filter won’t work and the range of highlights and shadows is beyond what the sensor can capture. I’m not interested in producing composite images that do not reflect what I saw.

Finally the adjustments made to the digital files are inspired by what has been done for years in a conventional darkroom and I typically strive to match the look of Fuji Velvia and Kodak Ektachrome slide film in my prints.

I shoot on digital instead of film out of convenience however I’m not looking to produce digital art — only photographs.
